Customer Reviews | 5 ¶¶¶¶¶ = Excellent | 4 ¶¶¶¶ = Great | 3 ¶¶¶ = Good | 2 ¶¶ = Fair | 1 ¶ = Poor | Date Purchased March 2006 My wife and I purchased two Hunter II s from Chad Weaver. Hers is 58" with a Bolivian rosewood & chechen riser with black walnut limbs under birdseye bicote veneers.I chose cocobolo for the riser with black walnut limbs under jarrah veneers at 62". Both bows are beautiful. The fit and finish are excellent. First rate craftsmanship throughout. The riser being inletted to accept the limbs creates a much smoother line than most takedowns where the limbs are simply pinned and bolted to the riser. These bows shoot every bit as good as they look.Very smooth draw and not difficult to silence. These are by far the finest shooting bows I have ever experienced. I would also highly recommend Chad Weaver as a dealer to anyone interested in Chek-mate bows.He is extremely knowledgeable of the product that he sells and always willing to help.I have gotten replies from e-mails to Chad in a very short period. I also requested several changes to my original order. Chad saw to it that every change was made.Chad is definitely a 5 Star dealer of a 5 Star product. Ed - Nebraska (1-3-07) | Got my Hunter II a couple days ago and all I can say is WOW! This is one accurate and smooth shooting bow. It's so smooth that the draw weight feels several pounds lighter than it actually is. Fit & finish are superb, it's looks as sweet as it shoots. A guy can spend more on a bow, but I don't know how you would get more bow for the money. Thanks Jon B. - North DakotaReview Received 12/14/2006 |

My Hunter II , for me, is my best shooting bow. I have a lot of custom bows, most made by the top bowyers in the country, and they are all great bows. My Hunter II just fits my shooting style better than the my other bows. The Hunter is hard hitting, stable, and shoots my heavy arrows with authority. Finish is very good, and the limb to riser fit is the best I've ever seen. I have found the perfect bow for me. I will own more Check-Mates in the future. Marc is one of the best bowyers in business today. Mike B - Texas Review Received: 12/14/2005 |
