This bow is SMOOOOTH!!!! It's so smooth that if I could re-order it I would have added 5-7# . I am super-pleased with how this bow performs.....less with my shooting sometimes, but the bow is a great weapon and I couldn't ask anything more from it. (Quite a looker too) I have a 62" 51#@28" Cocobola riser with yew limbs and a grey-bark core. Great bow - Marc is an artist/wood whisperer. Absolutely Great! I've owned over 50 different traditional bows during my life. Some I only kept for a day, then traded. Some I still own. I still own the first custom longbow I ever had built. But nothing I've owned has pleased me more than the Longhorn Special I bought from Chad. I tested it today by shooting one of my other bows, then pick up the Longhorn and shoot it. There is no comparison! The Longhorn is automatic! Just look at what you want to shoot, and POW! I shoot this bow better with less than 100 shots through it, than I do a recurve I've owned and shot for a year! It's fast, it's quiet, it's smooth. Also, I've seen a lot of bows. The fit and finish on this bow cannot be bettered by nothing out there! I've seen bows costing twice as much, that are maybe equal in worksmanship, but not better! I only wish I'd known of Chek-Mate a long time ago! Chad Weaver is also the BEST at representing the Chek-Mate bows! If you want a super deluxe really nice bow, at a working mans price, BUY A CHEK-MATE!
